I think there are three factors that influenced my academic life. They are my family, my friends and the social media. The role my family played in my previous life is very positive. My family respected all of my decisions. For example, when I choose my major for the university, my parents said they would totally respect my opinion and I could choose whatever I wanted. When I prepared for the test of entrance of the university, they never control my time and just let myself to plan the time. Sometimes, when I felt tired, I watched TV or surfed on the internet, but they never ordered me to go to study. However, my classmates' parents are totally opposite with my parents. I believe it is the pleasant environment in my family that made me get a good score in the test of entrance.
My friends influenced my school life very much. When I was in middle school, I had a good friend who was the "bad student" in the teacher's eyes. My teacher talked with me for many times because they thought that she would have a bad influence on me. In fact, she did teach me a lot of "bad" things such as escaping from the class, dating with boys and so on. However, in my opinion, she is very frank and good to me, and I believe that what she taught me was a kind of experience which made me know much more than my classmates.
And as for the media, I got a lot of information which has closed relationship with my school life from it. For example, when I choose the major for the university, I searched many major on the internet and I saw different opinions on a certain major. After comparing them together, I chose to study Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language.
